Day 12: Favorite Movie from your Favorite Actress

Kate Winslet is beautiful, gentle, kind, and dedicated to her craft. It was tough to pick a favorite movie from her long list of works but I had to go with The Holiday. A feel-good romantic comedy which proves to me even more how versatile Kate is. I also adore her in The Reader, Revolutionary Road, Contagion, Sense and Sensibility, and so many others. And I love her because of this quote:

I wouldn’t dream of working on something that didn’t make my gut rumble and my heart want to explode.”

PERFECTION.

Day 11: A Movie That Changed Your Opinion About Something
“The core of mans’ spirit comes from new experiences.” “When you want something in life, you just gotta reach out and grab it.” - Christopher McCandless
This movie is very eye-opening… This is the true story of Chris McCandless’ great Alaskan adventure to find happiness in the wild. It’s such a great story and has such remarkable insights about life.

Day 10: Best Classic Movie

An Affair To Remember. Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr. SOBFEST. It’s amazing. Fall in love in a matter of days, torn apart by their lovers at home and prior engagements and that dumb cab in front of the Empire State building!!! Where’s my Nicky?

I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.

Day 9: Movie With the Best Soundtrack

Almost Famous! C’mon, the sing-a-long of “Tiny Dancer” on the bus?! It doesn’t get much better than that. It’s that classic, never-gets-old kind of rock music that I will always love and if you don’t, you should.

Shit Girls Say is HIGH-larious. Look for more episodes on youtube or I’m sure I’ll be posting them. So you should follow my blog/tumblr. thanks :)

No matter how qualified or deserving we are, we will never reach a better life until we can imagine it for ourselves and allow ourselves to have it.

Day 8: The Movie You’ve Seen Countless Times
Doctor Marcia Fieldstone: Tell me what was so special about your wife?
Sam Baldwin: Well, how long is your program? Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were suppose to be together… and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home… only to no home I’d ever known… I was just taking her hand to to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like… magic.
Sleepless in Seattle! My favorite duo, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, play out the cutest storyline ever and also give me hope that true love is possible for everyone. And that a movie can be perfect. Like this one. Or An Affair to Remember. I WANT MAGIC.
p.s. Nora Ephron is one of my faves. All of her movies are the ultimate chick flicks. If you like one you’ll like them all.
